Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) - Metal Prototypes
Metal powder is heated with a laser to melt it into a solid. The resulting part has high accuracy, good surface quality, and excellent mechanical properties. Most of our metal prototypes are made out of 17-4 Stainless Steel or Maraging Steel. We can also make Tool Steel, Inconel, Aluminum and Titanium parts. More metals are available. Contact MCT for information. Maraging Steel can be hardened to 50-56 Rockwell C.

We have three DMLS machines.

Build volume for the SLM 280 HL is 11 x 11 x 13.8in.
For more information, read this data sheet.

Build volume for the EOS M 270 is 9.85 x 9.85 x 8.5in.
For more information, read this data sheet.

Build volume for the EOS M 250 is 9.85 x 9.85 x 7in.

You can see more of our DMLS rapid prototypes in our Gallery.

Here are some examples of what you can do with metal prototypes.
